Lonavla is 96 kilometres east of Mumbai and 64 kilometres west of Pune.

It serves as a vital rail link between Mumbai and Pune.

Tawang, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh's Tawang district, is located at an elevation of 3048 metres above sea level.

It's about 16 kilometres south of the China-Pakistan border, just north of Tawang-chu Valley. Historically and biologically, Tawang has plenty to offer. It is 185 km from Bomdil. The Tawang Chu River and Tawang Valley, as well as the Gudpi and Chong-Chugmi mountains, are exceptionally beautiful and serene. Lakes here are frozen during winter sessions and while the ice melts become home to numerous birds and animal species.
