Baruva is known as one of the oldest beaches in Andhra Pradesh. It is situated on the east coast of the Bay of Bengal in the Village Baruva which is at a distance of 17 km from Palasa.

There is a pillar that is placed on the beach in remembrance of the cargo ship that drowned nearby in the year 1917.
