Situated in the western part of India, this state has a 720 km long Arabian Sea coastline. Maharashtra is the 2nd most populous state in India.


Mumbai is the home of some of the most popular urban beaches like Juhu, however, due to its overcrowding, these beaches have lost some hygiene. Another iconic beach of Mumbai is the famous Marine drive, a 3 km long arc-shaped road which is perfect for spending a nice evening while watching a sunset.

Ganeshgule Beach

One can hire a cab from Mumbai airport for Ganpatitule beach. Other than that direct buses for Ganpatitule from Mumbai are also available. Both Bhoke (35 km) and Ratnagiri (45 km) are easily accessible from the beach.

This secluded beach of Dapoli taluk in Ratnagiri is famous for its heartwarming sceneries. The crystal clear blue waters and tall palm trees can rejuvenate any mind.

Government buses from Dapoli which is the nearest major city take around 50 minutes to reach Anjarle beach. The nearest railway station is khed from where one can reach here by the means of the hired cab or auto rickshaws.


 

Hedvi Beach


Hedvi Beach is located in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra and it is famous for rocky boulders alongside the sea. It is a small stretch between two white-sand beaches Guhagar and Velenshwar. Here Mother Nature creates its own Black & White painting with different beaches.

Harihareshwar beach is situated in Raigad district at a distance of 200 km from Mumbai. This less crowded beach of Maharashtra is surrounded by four hills namely Harihareshwar, Harshinachal, Bramhadri, and Pushpadri.

  • Harihareshwar Temple is one of the main attractions of the place. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is often referred to as Dev-Ghar.
